Becoming a parent: Toddlerhood

This is an extremely active stage of the kid (lesser of a baby now :D). Since they begin to walk,  they want to get into everything(boxes, cupboards, buckets). They run, climb, roll. It’s time to start with tricycles with a support for the parent to manoeuvre and manage it.

Food habits improve, they can eat lots of things now. Breads, rice, chapatti, pulses, beans, potatoes, dosa, eggs, milkshakes, and all sorts of fruits. They love fruits 🙂 . Mangoes, watermelon, grapes, bananas. My daughter loves tea:D

Story book time for kids is quite a lot of fun. One line per page stories, with beautiful illustrations are the most enjoyable for them. 😀

Sleep patterns improve by now. They mostly sleep through the night by now
Big relief for the mothers!

Playing with other kids is a little different at this stage. They like other kids around, but they mostly play individually. But they do compete with their peers in their own sweet way(trying to emulate what other kids are doing).

Teething causes some sickness. Stomach upset, bloating, lack of  appetite, moodiness.Counting the teeth is also a hobby for parents at this stage 😀 .

Vaccination reduces after 2 years, so doctor visits are much cut down by now.

Play schools are a good option at this stage. They really enjoy there, learn. And mother’s get some time for themselves.

I think that covers pretty much all I can remember now. I will add another section for more 🙂

Happy parenting:D

If my blogs can make a single person feel better for a single moment, the purpose of sharing my knowledge is served to a great extent. I want to connect, gain, give, share and learn. I explore fields of technology, business, wellness and anything else that intrigues me.
